Civil Engineering Firm Nolte Associates, Inc. Awarded the Design of Sand Creek Parkway by The City of Aurora

Denver, CO - Nolte Associates was given the notice to proceed by the City of Aurora City Council on November 22, 2002, to begin design of the 2 mile $20 million-dollar Sand Creek Parkway and landfill remediation project. The Nolte project team is comprised of: Golder Associates, TransPlan/SEH, Smith Environmental, DHM Design, Design Workshop, LONCO, Inc., Clanton & Associates and Goodbee & Associates. The design for SCP is scheduled for completion in early 2004 with construction to begin in Spring 2004.

Having completed a number of transportation projects for entities along the Rocky Mountain Front Range, Nolte is a recognized provider for transportation engineering services. "We look forward to fully engaging our team's capabilities combined with our partnering relationships to provide a quality solution to the City of Aurora," stated Nolte Senior Vice President, Ken Rudolph, PE.

Nolte Appoints New Managing Directors

Bill Miller, PE., has been appointed as Managing Director of Nolte's San Diego and El Centro offices. In that capacity, he will oversee and is responsible for specific projects as well as for the allocation of manpower and resources to projects. He is also responsible for client satisfaction with Nolte's services. A licensed civil engineer for over 30 years, Bill has been involved in the planning, design and construction management of wastewater/water treatment facilities, solid waste landfills and transfer stations, hazardous waste remediation facilities, and other general civil and geotechnical projects.

R. Dale Harvey, Jr., PLS., has been named as the Managing Director of Nolte's Inland Empire office. In that capacity, he oversees operations, leads the business development effort and manages resources for projects. He has over 25 years of land use planning, civil engineering, surveying and business experience. He has been responsible for the planning and site design of numerous premier master plan communities for residential and commercial/industrial projects. In addition, he has been involved in major public development and public works projects.

Nolte San Jose Acquires New Talent

Nolte's San Jose office recently strengthened their expertise in water and wastewater engineering and also in the transportation arena.

Steven Conner, PE.,, joined the firm as a senior engineer in the water resources group. He has many years of experience in the analysis and design of water and wastewater projects. He has provided engineering design services for sewer and water pipelines, sewage lift stations, water pump stations, and water reservoir projects.

Sandaresh Begur, PE., joined the firm as a senior engineer in the transportation group. He has over ten years of experience in highway and transportation engineering. His abilities range from the initial needs assessment through the design and construction. He has worked on a wide variety of projects including roadway improvements, major highway projects, light rail projects, and bridge projects.

Nolte Hires New Survey Manager

Nolte has announced the appointment of Paul Smith, PLS., as Survey Manager in their Denver office. Paul has more than 24 years of surveying experience, with a background in the project management of construction surveying, boundary surveying, and right of way acquisition. As survey manager, Paul coordinates and supervises the activities of four survey crews in addition to office survey personnel.

Roger Miller Joins Nolte

Roger Miller has joined Nolte Colorado Springs office as a Transportation Engineer and Business Development Manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the Civil Engineering Community. His experience both locally and nationally includes development and marketing of civil engineering, transportation planning, highway and bridge, traffic engineering, corridor and bridge feasibility studies, public involvement, traffic impact studies, and all aspects of transportation system integration, system development, and construction management.

Established in 1949, Nolte provides comprehensive engineering, land planning, surveying, and management services for both public and private clients.
